From a mountaintop favela high above Rio, the world was welcomed to the 2014 World Cup.

Hundreds of Brazilian children gathered to pay homage to fight songs from all 32 qualifying teams in the Cup. Sourced from fan clubs and stadiums everywhere, the actual chants were sung and recorded by the Children's Choir of Petropolis.

As the teams in each Group were announced at the FIFA World Cup Draw, we assembled and released a film welcoming that Group to Brazil. More than 50 pieces of video were created in 7 languages in 3 days.

This was an extremely fun and ambitious one-day shoot at the Morro dos Prazeres, in Rio, right below the Corcovado. Shot with GoPros, a drone, Canon 5d and the Red Epic, we captured lots of footage to match the great quality of the Children's Choir which we had recorded a couple of days earlier at Maravilha8.
