During the World Cup Qualifiers, social posts congratulated each country as they successfully qualified for the finals in Brazil. Composed in team colors, the images tell stories from each side's history and culture.

This project was extremely fun to see come to life thanks to the amazing work of both the photographers and the set designer teams. Each concept was built as a DIY-like diorama that gave the campaign an extremely unique look & feel without steering away from Visa's sophisticated look.

.: The Teams | the first to make it to the 2014 FIFA World Cup :.

Brazil. The home of the beautiful game has already celebrated 5 World Cup victories. They are ready to celebrate their 6th star, and first at home. Will they be able to pull it off?

Japan. The Japanese team, known as the Samurai Blue, has adopted the kanji character Kizuna as its national motto after the tsunami. Kizuna, which means "strength comes from the ties that bind us together," is seen samurai-slashed into the paper background.

Argentina. Nicknamed the Flea, Lionel Messi is one of the best strikers in the world. This image recreates one of his most famous plays as he beat six defenders to score one of the best goals in football history, just like Maradona had done over 20 years earlier during the Mexico '86 World Cup. This is an homage to two of the best strikers in the history of Fútbol.

Netherlands. Holland is known as "Clockwork Orange" for their near-perfect passing and total football approach. They're also known as the best team that has never won a World Cup. Will '14 finally be their year?

Australia. The team from down under holds a very outlandish, and very celebrated, football record – the most goals ever scored in an international match... 31 in total (versus Samoa in 2001).

Italy. The Azzuri are famous for defense, defense, defense. They call this approach Catenaccio, which in English translates to a "defensive chain" of players.

USA. With a 4-4-1-1 formation of equally-talented stars, this American team has its best shot yet at a World Cup championship. Could this be it? Well, the rest of the world laughed when we said we were going to the moon...

.: Anthem Shot | Welcome to Brazil :.

This was the most ambitious and fun of all VISA Team Art pieces. Here we show how the world, represented by every major national team color and color combinations, is coming together in Brazil for the main event - the World Cup final in Maracanã.
