"Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music."
Music has played a pivotal role in my life. It has brought some of the best friends I could ask for. It introduced me to my wife Nadia [met her at one of my band's gigs - great success story for being in a band]. From designing for my friends' bands (which is when I first started really enjoying design), composing music and lyrics for my own bands, rehearsing for hours in the tiniest rooms to playing live in front of about a hundred people (with them dancing and singing to our lyrics), music has always kept me moving forward.
Some interesting facts about music and 'meself:'
• My first real possession, the first thing I have ever truly owned, is my $150 steel string acoustic Epiphone (which I got in Buffalo, NY and still keep with me today).
• I collect instruments (cannot wait to get my first sitar).
• I have only left two guitars behind (a toy guitar that did not make it beyond a camping trip and a really cheap electric Epiphone Standard which is now in really good hands).
• I am a lefty, but play right handed guitar.
• Proud owner of a 1960's 1472 Silvertone guitar amp.
• Have been a member of several bands: from Shampoo or La Barométrica to TrecePuentes and Snuggle for Power.
• Played some bass (tried to) for WIP | FPO, the agency band at JWT Singapore.
• I have had to sing at several gigs. I. Cannot. Sing.
Music goals I yet have to accomplish:
• Learn how to play Lou Reed's Perfect Day on the piano and play it at a party on a shiny grand piano.
• record my first full album.
• shoot / direct / create more music videos.
Future purchases:
• Gibson SG or Gibson Firebird
• Bass - Fender Jaguar or Mustang or Firebird (Gibson or Epiphone).
